Have you ever felt like you could do more for your community? Has the thought ever crossed your mind to be a fire fighter? Fremont County Fire Protection District protects and serves the vast majority of Fremont County's foot print within the state of Wyoming. We are dedicated to serving the community we live in, we are always in need of addition members to join and help out! As we all know work life has changed over the last decades, many people aren't available at certain times of the day when some are. The more people available to answer the call the better chance we have to give the community the best response we can provide.

Did you know??? Every fire department in Fremont County is completely volunteer, so when you see a fire truck going by to someone's emergency they stepped away from their job or family to answer the call! The Fire service is often referred to as the "Fire Family" this is because once you walk through the door and put on the gear everyone around you is willing to fight for your life with you! There are many benefits to being a volunteer fire fighter such as access to purchase health insurance through state employee BCBS plan, Volunteer State Retirement Pension, access to scholarships through WFCA! Not to mention being the one person who could make a difference while someone is having the worst day of their life, that feeling couldn't purchased with all the money in the world.

Applicants must:

Once you fill out the application to join there is a waiting period for background checks to be completed. During this time you can attend meetings but gear won't be issued until background has been completed. You'll be added to the next FCFPD FF1 Academy to assist you with achieving required certification to get off probation. The fire service does require dedication and time, to gain the knowledge of doing what we do and why we do it can be a lot to get through but members will assist you through the requirements to be apart of FCFPD!
