Here with FCFPD we are community driven, with an open house or community feed we are in the people business. Taking care of you is what we do and who we are!

Caring For Our Communities

Here in Fremont County, we enjoy the privilege of living in some of the most rural country in the United States. Our spaces are wide open, our sky is big, and our people’s hearts are even bigger. However, being so rural can cause some extra challenges when it comes to emergency response. The Fremont County Fire Protection District is ready to meet and overcome those challenges for safer people, property, and roads. Originally formed in 1993, the Fremont County Fire District provides emergency services to 6,000 of Fremont County’s 10,000 square miles. Fire Departments from the communities of Lysite, rural Lander, Missouri Valley, Kinnear, Crowheart, Pavillion, Midvale, Atlantic City, Hudson, North Portal, Fort Washakie, and Shoshoni all came together to form the District. Over 150 volunteer firefighters serve in the Fremont County Fire District. These brave men and women sacrifice their time and energy to help and protect their fellow community members. The bottom line is, we care about the safety of our fellow Fremont County residents – it’s why we do what we do.
